I always found macOS volume and brightness controls a bit clumsy - the steps are too big, and using shift-option with the keys needs two hands. When I'm in bed or leaning back, I instinctively reach for the trackpad instead of the keyboard. So I built a super lightweight menu bar app that turns the edges of the trackpad into sliders: Slide along one edge to adjust volume Slide along the other to adjust brightness Shows the native macOS HUD, just like the keyboard keys Supports very fine, precise adjustments (micro-changes instead of big jumps)
